Look who's back....

What has been going on with my game? Ever since the whole illegal to transfer money online debacle, I took a break of sorts, and have been playing pretty much for scraps here and there, but I have been studying diligently as much as possible.

I have been playing some low limit cash games and have since ventured into Pot Limit Omaha eight or better. That is a great game. I have done pretty well leaving the table up about two to three buy-ins. This game will probably be the "It Game," taking the place of No Limit Texas Holdem in a few years, but not anytime soon. That's just my opinion. There's so much action in this game its hard to imagine it not being the top game to play in the future.

My stud game has suffered tremendously and I'm not too thrilled about that, but there isn't much money in stud, so its just a light blow to the heart, but it has long since been my favorite game, which has now changed to PL Omaha 8/b. But I am still quite fond of Razz, I have so much fun playing that game. Not a lot of people online understand lo hands.

On to the cash cow that is still NL Texas Holdem. It's amazing how people don't even make an effort to get better at this game, but I don't want to be preachy. I'm about to move up a level finally, it took a while. I find myself regularly losing a buy-in only to make about two or three and sometimes four buy-ins before I end a session. I noticed that Ultimate Bet doesn't do a bad beat jackpot too. That sucks being as I would have had two of them in the last two months.

I find bad beats quite funny these days. If it is an honest bad beat where the money was in and your opponent catches a whiff of a miracle, why be mad? Really? I like to label these players and put them on a buddy list that Ultimate Bet provides. I really like this feature. It makes it easier to find players you like to play with.

As far as live play goes... It has been pretty much not happening I had to live off my bankroll for a while and it got pretty low. I went on a tear at the low limit tables. Basically I just hovered around the tables I wanted to play at until a seat opened up and made sure to occupy it before they could go to the boards. I made quite a bit surprisingly. You have to love a weak table. I am fixing to start hitting the casinos up again here really soon. They started spreading $1/2 finally. It is less volatile to my bank roll than the $5/5 or $5/10. Those Houston players are pretty crazy and have deep pockets. And the $1/2 is extremely soft from what I've seen, so I'm going to give it a try, if it doesn't go too well, I'll just have to play $5/5 again.
